Dr Rizwan holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a masters in Sociology .He taught in national and international universities for almost two decades .He is currently Head , Islamic perspectives In disruptive technology at Centre for Study and Research(CSR) and also holds the position of Director at CSR, New Delhi.He wrote 6 Books and published more than 20 research papers in peer reviewed international high impact factor journals ,and wrote  more than 200 popular science articles on various topics .He is a science communicator and lectures on the intersection of science religion and society,gender and religion, environment and religious discourse etc.His primary areas of research includes  intersection of Science , Religion and  society, Disruptive technologies and ethics. He is also serving as a adjunct professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering Nagpur University Nagpur .Prior to CSR he was a Postdoctoral Scientist at CDFD Hyderabad, and an assistant professor of Biochemistry in Jazan University Jazan Saudi Arabia and an adjunct faculty department of Biotechnology Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi .
